Time Flies

I'm finally caught up and motivated to sit down to catch you up on our travels. When last we spoke, we were in Winchester Bay, Oregon.... ( Sept 27-Oct 2 ) From there we proceeded south along the Oregon coast to Brookings, OR. There is an Elks Lodge we had been to before and we figured this was a good place to catch up on chores and to go see some BIG trees. Having spent two weeks boondocking we h...

Family Visit and Winchester Bay, Oregon

After returning back to the "lower 48", we stayed at the Angel of the Winds Casino on Aug 27th for the night (free, 48.215229, -122.183998) again. This was the same casino we stayed at before going into Canada. They've recently created a new dry camping area on the northern parking lot. Food is still good there. Burns Lake Municipal Campground, B.C., Canada

Burns Lake, B.C, Canada
During our return trip from Alaska, we stopped for the night at the Burns Lake Municipal Campground in British Columbia, Canada. This is a free city operated campground on the lake. There's a 3 night stay limit. This is a very nice little park. We arrived around 2:00pm and were the only campers there. There's about 7 sites available, and room for a couple more RV's in the parking lot. A few hours ...

Alaska Adventure - Weeks 11, 12 and 13

From our last post we were still in Fairbanks for another 5 days. We didn't sit around doing nothing, we knew of some Boomer RV friends who were coming into Fairbanks and we arranged a trip to Chena Hot Springs, which is about 50 miles northeast of Fairbanks (July 29). This was one of my must see and do items on our Alaska trip. We started off our visit purchasing our tickets for their Ice Museum....
