January 2005 Travel Log

1/29: We just completed almost 3 weeks of wonderful fun in the sun! The Boomerang (Boomer's rally) was fantastic! Over 160 rigs attended throughout the rally. We enjoyed many of the classes, events, food, parties, and especially meeting old and new friends again. We've moved to nearby Gila Bend, AZ to attend an "Elk-a-Rang". This is another RV rally for members of the Elks, and a yearly event wher...

February 2005 Travel Log

2/27: After spending the night at the Marfa roadside viewing spot, we drove on intending to stop at the Laughlin AFB campground at Amistad Lake near Del Rio, TX. March 2005 Travel Log

As ...

US Capital

4/30: Stow, MA. We arrived at Connie's sister's house a few days ago. We've been enjoying our visit with Ken & Michelle Fuller, parked in their driveway. Too bad it's rained almost everyday. We took a day to visit Salem, MA. Besides the normal "witch hunt" history, Salem played an important role in the creation of our nation with it's shipping and port. I didn't realize that the customs duty o...

Lake George Escape Workamping Site

5/31: Lake George Escape Camping Resort, NY. I know it's been awhile since I updated this journal, and even had a couple readers wondering if all is well with us. With us working about 40 hours a week each, there just hasn't been much exciting to report on. Memorial weekend was pretty busy here. Since we both work the reservation phones and reception counter, we were in the middle of the activity ...
