Viewing Our Travel Map

Our_Travels Our Travel Map

After spending one night in Tonopah, NV, we got an early start on the road to beat the high winds. Since high winds were still predicted and we got an early start, I decided to just head into Reno and spend the week there. Reno is where we were heading for to attend the CLM Services annual training. Connie and I will be teaching a few classes there, even though we're not working in the campgrounds this year. We're here in Sparks, NV staying in a commercial RV Park until April 18th. We haven't been doing much, except relaxing and working on the computers. I've been digitizing many old family films. I purchased a VCR player from Goodwill in Tonopah, NV for $4. The device to convert from VHS to digital cost $40.

Just a few days after our wedding in November 1978.

When I recently updated the website, I added a new section to the site to record the travel routes we've taken since 2005. We started traveling full time in our motorhome late 2004. "Our Travel Route" map is now available on the website. You can turn "on" or "off" the viewing of the different years. When viewing the map, click on this image located on the left side of the map. From here, you can enable or disable viewing specific years. Each year's travel route is a different color. Place your mouse over a route or destination (dot) to get a short description. Click on a destination (dot) to get a further explanation. You can view the travel map with explanations here.

Here, only the year 2019 is turned on. (As of April 2019)
This map has all years turned on.

I enjoyed Connie's posts. Have you had any experiences with cooking on the road that you would like to share?

Hi Rosemary, I love to cook and I cook just like I did when we were in a house. Our rig doesn't have a propane oven (by choice), I do just fine with my microwave/convection oven. I don't adjust anything when I'm cooking with the convection part other than starting with the lowest time given and then checking to see if more time is needed. I do have a large toaster/rotisserie oven. Great for everything from making toast, baking bread, baking cookies, broiling, and rotisserie chicken. I have 2 6qt pressure cookers, an Instant Pot, and a GoWise. The internet is my friend when it comes to finding recipes. I brought a few of my favorite cookbooks with me when we moved into the motorhome but I don't use them that often any more. I would get rid of them but I'm not quite ready to
Was there anything more specific you were curious about cooking?
