Viewing Our Travel Map

Our Travel Map
After spending one night in Tonopah, NV, we got an early start on the road to beat the high winds. Since high winds were still predicted and we got an early start, I decided to just head into Reno and spend the week there. Reno is where we were heading for to attend the CLM Services annual training. Connie and I will be teaching a few classes there, even though we're not working in the campgrounds...

I usually d...

Petrified Forest National Park, AZ

Petrified Forest National Park, AZ

Due to the rain, snow and freezing weather, we had some issues getting out: I forgot to preheat the diesel engine, so it didn't want to start. It was in the mid 20's overnight. Due to the cold and playing the radio all week, the motorhome starting battery was very low and went dead almost immediately. The trickle ch...

Playing Tourists in New Mexico, Part 5

El Malpais National Munument, NM
Last Monday, March 25th, we decided to move up north to Bluewater Lake State Park. We knew it was a risk with the weather, but we were looking for new scenery and new adventures. This State Park only has 14 sites with electric, but another 130+ sites without electric. It was a gamble that paid off. Being early-season, the state park was almost empty. There were only a few electric sites taken...
